Zoom Class: Advanced Painting Technique

Mondays, 6 PM – 9 PM EST

This class is designed to advance and extend the content of Fundamentals of Painting. We’ll do a deep dive into:

• Development of personal themes, narratives and concepts
• Taking drawing seriously
• The three layers of a painting
• Glazing, scumbling, impasto, and other advanced painting techniques
• Repairs and revisions (ouch)
• Undertaking larger canvases and more ambitious projects
• Critical Analysis
• Developing a cohesive body of work

This class is designed for the advanced painter, who will be expected to create a single large work over the 18 hours of class time.

The class will run for 6 weeks on Mondays, 6-9PM EST. Participants will be sent a zoom link.
