Mountain Path (dried leaves)

$1,087.00

Every morning I hike to the summit of Beech Hill, shaking my sleepiness off as the sun rises. This painting captures a moment on my return walk, where my path skirts blueberry barrens. The shaggy asters and bracken fern have frosted and died, but the young oaks won’t shed their leaves until Spring. The susurration of their dried leaves in the winter wind is the joyous soundtrack to my last glad steps toward home.
