Midnight at the Wood Lot

$1,449.00

Sometimes a painting is based on nothing more than an impression. In this case, it was light flashing back at me as I rounded a curve on the Bear Mountain Parkway one winter night. Then, I saw the same colors reflecting off Maiden Cliff in Camden at twilight. The two fused together into an abstraction without a subject and laid there, fermenting, until this painting happened. The cold, crisp air of winter, woodsmoke, and a comfortable house to come home to… what more could one want?
