The North Atlantic can be overwhelmingly destructive, or it can be gentle and sweet. That depends on the day you visit.

This was painted along the Atlantic Pathway in Rockport, MA. I was there with Mitch Baird, Jonathan McPhillips, and my pal through thick and thin, Eric Jacobsen. The wind was down, the sun was out, but the surf remained high from an earlier storm.

I love this painting for its diagonal and its strong composition. It evokes everything that I love about the North Atlantic coast—tidal pools, wicked strong surf, blue seas, and the indescribable power of the sea.

REFUNDS

If a painting disappoints, I will of course refund your money, on return of the painting back in my Rockport studio. Returned art must be properly packaged, with corner protectors as required and insured to its full value.
