A Woodlot of Her Own

$869.00

In the immortal words of Baron Rothschild, “every garden, no matter how small, should have a 100-acre woodlot.” I’m sure this is apocryphal malarkey, but there’s a lot of wisdom in it.

After Rochester’s brutal ice storm of March, 1991, I vowed I’d never be completely dependent on the grid. We’ve heated with wood ever since. I like the physical labor of it, although in my dotage splitting and stacking wood is getting more difficult. But a woodlot represents freedom from dependency and a regenerating natural resource.
