After several days of rain and wind, all of us at Cape Ann Plein Air (CAPA) were thrilled to awaken to crystalline skies and clement breezes.

I was there with Mitch Baird and my pal through thick and thin, Eric Jacobsen. The wind was down, the sun was out, but the surf remained high.

I love this painting for its diagonal and its strong composition. It evokes everything that’s wonderful about the North Atlantic coast—tidal pools, wicked strong surf, blue seas, and the indescribable power that is the ocean.

If a painting disappoints, I will of course refund your money, on return of the painting back in my Rockport studio. Returned art must be properly packaged, with corner protectors as required and insured to its full value.
